Upon completion of giving notice, the City Clerk is further <br />directed to file in her office a proof of publication setting forth compliance with the <br />requirements for publishing. <br />Section 10 Mailing of Notice The City Clerk shall also give notice by a first-class mailing <br />to all owners of property subject to any new or increased assessments. The notice shall be <br />mailed no later than 10 days prior to the public meeting and 45 days prior to the public <br />hearing at which the City Council will consider levying the new or increased assessments and <br />shall be at least in 10 point type. The form of said notice shall conform in all respects with the <br />requirements of subdivision (b) of Section 53753 of the Government Code and pursuant to <br />subdivision (c) of that section, each notice shall contain an assessment ballot whereon the <br />property owner may indicate support or opposition to the proposed assessment. <br />Section 11 Designation of Contact Person That this City Council does hereby designate, <br />Amer Jakher, City Engineer of the City of Colton, (909) 370-5065 is the person to answer <br />inquiries regarding the District and the proposed levy of the new or increased assessments. <br />Section 12 The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of such hearing <br />as provided by law. <br />Section 13 That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; <br />shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute <br />of passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said <br />City, in the minutes of the meeting at which Resolution is passed and adopted. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 26th DAY OF APRIL, 2005. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
