1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton shall develop a self-evaluation process to measure <br />progress in meeting the goals and objectives to be established for the Enterprise Zone, and <br />said process shall be submitted to the State of California, Department of Housing and <br />Community Development, for review, approval and inclusion in the Memorandum of <br />Understanding ("MOU") in the form as attached hereto as Exhibit "B" as a subsequent <br />amendment thereto prior to the final designation of an Enterprise Zone by the State of <br />California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton agrees to complete all actions to be stated within the <br />Application that apply to its territorial jurisdiction included with the Application Area should <br />I the proposed Enterprise Zone be awarded a final designation in accordance with the <br />I provisions and limitations provided in the MOU; and <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Director for the City of Colton has been <br />Idesignated as the Contact Person for the Enterprise Zone at the address as set forth in the <br />I MOU. <br />NOWv THEREFORE THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND FIND <br />I AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City of Colton hereby approves the intent to submit the Application to <br />the State of California, Department of Housing and Community Development, and supports <br />the Application for the designation of the Application Area as an Enterprise Zone. The City of <br />Colton further authorizes the inclusion of those portions of the municipal boundaries which <br />are set forth on Exhibit "A" to be considered in the Application as a portion of the Application <br />Area for purposes of the designation of the Enterprise Zone. <br />Section 2. The City of Colton further approves the form of the MOU as attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "B" and authorizes the execution thereof by the Economic Development <br />Director to execute and deliver said MOU on behalf of the City of Colton simultaneously with <br />the execution and delivery of the MOU by all other parties thereto.
