R-137-06 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING THE SIGNATORY, <br />CONTACT AND LEAD AGENCY FOR THE SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY <br />ENTERPRISE ZONE APPLICATION, IMPLEMENTATION AND <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT PROCESS <br />WHEREAS, on August 15, 2006, the City of Colton adopted Resolution No.108-06, <br />authorizing participation in a multi -jurisdictional application for a State designated enterprise <br />zone to be known as the San Bernardino Valley Enterprise Zone (SBVEZ), which includes <br />the City of Colton, the City of San Bernardino, the County of San Bernardino and the Inland <br />Valley Development Agency (IVDA); <br />WHEREAS, the application was completed and submitted to the State's Housing and <br />Community Development Department (HCD) on September 5, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, HCD has requested that each jurisdiction within the SBVEZ adopt a <br />Resolution that authorizes a signatory, contact and leady agency for the SBVEZ application, <br />implementation and Environmental Impact Report; and <br />WHEREAS, all SBVEZ participating jurisdictions desire to designate the City <br />Manager of the City of San Bernardino as the signatory for the enterprise zone application for <br />the proposed SBVEZ; and <br />WHEREAS, all SBVEZ participating jurisdictions desire to designate the <br />County's Director of the Department of Economic Development, or designee, as the <br />signatory of the MOU between HCD and the proposed SBVEZ, as well as other documents <br />necessary for the implementation of the enterprise zone:. and <br />WHEREAS, all SBVEZ participating urisdictions desire to designate the <br />County's Director of the Department of Economic Development, or designee, as the <br />authorized contact person for the SBVEZ; and <br />WHEREAS, all SBVEZ_ participating jurisdictions desire to designate the City of San <br />Bernardino as the authorized Lead Agency for all environmental review purposes through the <br />1 <br />
