Based on the entire record before the City Council, all written <br />and oral evidence presented, and the findings made in this Resolution, the City Council <br />hereby denies the Appeal of the Application and upholds the decision of the Planning <br />Commission denying the Application. <br />SECTION 2. Based on the entire record before the City Council and all <br />written and oral evidence presented, and the findings made in this Resolution, the City <br />Council hereby finds that the Application is inconsistent with the General Plan of the City of <br />Colton because: <br />A. The Application proposes signs that are excessive in size and height, does not <br />maintain and improve the aesthetics and appearance of the neighborhood, and is <br />inconsistent with the intent and guidelines of the following General Plan principles and <br />objectives: <br />1. General Objective No. 1 (pp. 2-12). creating... "a land use pattern <br />which provides a safe, harmonious and attractive residential living environment, a balanced <br />hierarchy of commercial land uses which will service the consumer and the economic needs <br />of the City and region..." <br />9 <br />
