BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Based on the entire record before the City Council, all written and oral evidence presented, and the findings made in this Resolution, the City Council hereby denies the Appeal of the Application and upholds the decision of the Planning Commission denying the Application. SECTION 2. Based on the entire record before the City Council and all written and oral evidence presented, and the findings made in this Resolution, the City Council hereby finds that the Application is inconsistent with the General Plan of the City of Colton because: A. The Application proposes signs that are excessive in size and height, does not maintain and improve the aesthetics and appearance of the neighborhood, and is inconsistent with the intent and guidelines of the following General Plan principles and objectives: 1. General Objective No. 1 (pp. 2-12). creating... "a land use pattern which provides a safe, harmonious and attractive residential living environment, a balanced hierarchy of commercial land uses which will service the consumer and the economic needs of the City and region..." 9
