1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />Governments (SANBAG) to the California Transportation Commission, because <br />reconstruction of these interchanges is required to facilitate the construction of HOV and <br />auxiliary lanes on Interstate 10; and <br />WHEREAS, the cities and County have already invested local funds in project <br />development, environmental clearance, and design but need additional funding to construct <br />these projects; and <br />WHEREAS, CMIA funding could accelerate delivery of the corridor improvements by <br />several years, yielding much needed congestion relief to one of the busiest corridors in the <br />nation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton agrees to aggressively pursue multiple funding options <br />and support other efforts to improve and enhance the entire 1-10 corridor in the County of <br />San Bernardino. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE, that Colton does supports the COALITION PROJECT; that all the <br />interchange improvements are necessary for the optimum performance of the corridor and <br />that a unified approach by the respective jurisdictions, including the County, to seeking these <br />funds provides the best approach to obtaining funding.. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of February, 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
