1, 0 INTRODUCTION <br />1.1 Authorization <br />This Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of the 160-acre Colton Farm Property <br />(Site) (Figure 1) was performed in accordance with a proposal by ENV America <br />Incorporated (ENV America), dated March 22, 2004, and authorized by Vulcan Materials <br />Company, Western Division (Client). The Site is currently undeveloped farm property <br />surrounded by a barbed wire fence. A small, corrugated, metal shed is the only structure <br />present onsite. <br />1.2 Purpose <br />The purpose of this Phase I ESA was to identify, to the extent feasible, recognized <br />environmental conditions in connection with the property, pursuant to the processes <br />prescribed in the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) designation E <br />1527-00. <br />1.3 Scope of Work <br />The scope of work included the following tasks: <br />• A reconnaissance-level visit to the Site for potential evidence of the release(s) of <br />hazardous materials and petroleum products, and to assess the potential for <br />onsite releases of hazardous materials and petroleum products; <br />• Records review; <br />• Interviews; and, <br />• Preparation of a report presenting findings and conclusions. <br />1.4 Significant Assumptions <br />For the purpose of this Phase I ESA, it is assumed that the. information provided by the <br />Client, regulatory database provider, and regulatory agencies is true and reliable. <br />ENV.' 1 <br />A N E / C A FINAL <br />PHASEIESA <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />F"�.i.�.:Y'.abn REV YIM.MRWR�IIfle.b.0 FY1FT...IYrtlAOAR..i..pFWLL P.,,,ES.COITAPrON.M.NCl17..4 <br />
