Box 200 <br />Boulder City, NV 89005 <br />Mr. Nitin Modi <br />Electrical Engineering Manager <br />City of Colton <br />650`North La Cadena Drive <br />Colton, CA 92324 <br />Dear Mr. Modi: <br />Letter Agreement CARE -47 <br />EQUIPMENT LOAN <br />This letter confirms the February 1, 1988, telephone conversation between <br />yourself and Mrs. Carole Hallenbeck concerning the loan of our infrared heat <br />detection equipment. The heat detection equipment will be available for loan <br />on or after March 1, 1988. The Western Area Power Administration (Western) <br />also has other types of equipment available for loan to its customers under <br />Western`.s Conservation and Renewable Energy Program. The City of Colton <br />(Contractor) may request the periodic use of one or more of the items of <br />equipment i,isted in Exhibit A on an as available basis for the purpose of <br />monitoring and/or improving energy efficiency under the following terms and <br />conditions: <br />1. This agreement shall become effective when Western receives the signed <br />agreement from the Contractor, and shall remain in effect until 4 years <br />after the effective date, with an option for a 4 -year renewal exercisable <br />by mutual written agreement. <br />2. Equipment will be loaned to the Contractor intermittently during the <br />contract term for mutually agreed upon time periods, depending upon <br />availability, by signing a Contractor's Receipt for Property <br />(WAPA F4400.1). <br />3. Western, upon request of the Contractor, will deliver the equipment, as <br />available, at a mutually agreeable time and place. <br />4. There will be no charge to the Contractor for the use of the equipment. <br />a <br />
