Exhibit A <br />EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE FOR LOAN <br />The Western Area Power Administration (Western) has the following equipment <br />available for loan on an as -available basis to its customers, for the purpose <br />of monitoring and identifying opportunities for improving energy efficiency or <br />identifying renewable resources: <br />1. INFRARED CAMERAS: Available from one to twelve weeks for auditing <br />buildings for heat loss or for detecting loose. connections and <br />equipment malfunctions in utility transmission and operational <br />systems. <br />2. LOAD MONITORS: Available from one to six months to record any three <br />of: watts, ears, volt -amps, watt demand, var demand, volt -amps <br />demand, or power factor. <br />3. CONSERVATION AND RENEWABLE ENERGY SIMULATOR: Available from one to <br />thirty days to qualified educational institutes and customers to <br />demonstrate integration of conservation and renewable energy into an <br />interconnected power system. Requires special training, <br />transportation, and delicate handling. <br />4. Other Equipment as available. <br />
