b CITY OF COLTON' <br />AGENDA REPORT (CONTINUED) <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST -2 19R8 <br />SUBJECT: BID AWARD <br />Lorna Linda and the County of San Bernardino, as well as the City <br />of Moreno Valley, expressed interest in the plan and may provide a <br />portion of the funding necessary for the plan in consideration that <br />the parts of the canyon under their jurisdiction also ;be included in <br />the Specific Plan. <br />Although dollar amounts have not been decided, Planning Staff <br />organized an interview board that included a representative from Loma <br />Linda and the County of San Bernardino to select the consultant to <br />prepare the Specific Plan. <br />POD, Incorporated based in Santa Ana, was chosen as the firrn with <br />the highest qualifications, the most local -- Inland Empire and olton <br />- experience, a comprehensive scope of services and a reasonable <br />contract price of $105,000 to prepare both the Reche anyon <br />CS ecific <br />Plan and corresponding environmental documents. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff . recommends that Council approve the selection of POD, <br />Incorporated, to undertake the Reche Canyon Specific Pl 'n and <br />Environmental Assessment, and also that Council autlhorize the City <br />Manager to enter into a contract (not to exceed $105,000) wit POD, <br />Incorporated. <br />CITY MANAGER CONCURRENCE <br />Page of-- Item No. <br />
