CITY OF CO <br />LTON 4 <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of May 3 , 1988 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Rich Holmen-, Human Services Director (' <br />SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE <br />COORDINATOR <br />Attachments: <br />Date: 4/26/88 <br />On April 19, 1988 a oral board, comprised of peers and <br />Professionals, interviewed four highly'Iqualified candidates <br />for the position of School Age Child Care Coordinator. <br />On April 25, 1988, a selection panel interviewed the top <br />two candidates for this position. Bot�l panels rated Susan <br />Brigham as the number one candidate. <br />Ms. Brigham is bilingual; possesses all the necessary state <br />I has managed State Departm nt of Education <br />(SDE) grant funded child care programs" and has worked <br />in both Riverside and San Bernardino C? unties. Ms. Brigham <br />will bring to Colton the necessary leadership skills and <br />programmatical knowledge to insure the success of our School <br />Age Child Care Program. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is staffs recommendation that Ms. Brigham be appointed <br />as the School Age Child Care Coordinator for the City of <br />Colton's SDE grant funded program. In ',addition, because <br />of her professional experience and technical abilities <br />in this specialized field an appointmett'at Step "D" of <br />pay range 2.0, salary schedule 10, is warranted. <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />
