CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of February 21, 1989 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: R.E. Gemmell, Fire ChiefO� <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Ordinance and Agreement with San Bernardino Date: Feb. 16, 1989 <br />County for Weed Abatement Program <br />Background: <br />on January 17, 1989, the City Council gave approval for the City to <br />contract with the County of San Bernardino to administer the weed abatement <br />program for the City of Colton. <br />Pi -zr-1c c i nn <br />In order to go forward with the program, an Agreement and ordinance have <br />been prepared and are attached for your review. <br />The Agreement between the County of San Bernardino and the City of Colton <br />provides for the joint program. The Ordinance provides standards and procedures <br />for the abatement of weeds and refuse by the County of San Bernardino within the <br />corporate limits of the City of Colton. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following actions: <br />1. Approve the Agreement and authorize the Mayor to execute same. <br />2.
