Montgomery, Consulting Engineers, Inc.
(JMM) is pleased to submit this proposal to provide engineering services in
connection with the water system telemetry upgrade and relocation design
as discussed in our meeting of February 16, 1989.
Based on the City's new system requirements, this proposal covers the design
for relocation of the existing master data acquisition and control computer
system and the associated radio telemetry equipment, from City Hall to the
City Yard. In addition, this proposal includes the design for relocation of the
existing digital monitoring and control panel from the Rialto site to the City
Yard. This digital panel will be modified and used as a backup to the master
computer system.
Another part of this proposal is for finalizing the design of the telemetry of
the Domecq supply storage and pumping facilities and the Walnut Complex
and to incorporate them into the overall telemetry and automatic control system
design.
A. SCOPE OF WORK
The proposed engineering services include the following tasks:
1. Project mobilization and project team organization meeting to
familiarize JMM staff with the project. The JMM project team
will review and evaluate the existing system and investigate design
alternatives based on the City's directives.
2. Make an inspection visit to the new central site (City Yard) to assess
the condition at the site for accepting the relocated master system,
the radio equipment, and the digital monitoring and control panel
This visit will also include a visit to the Rialto site to inspect the
condition of the digital panel 1
