CITY OF COLTON~•°o
isaz
INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO: EnAM SOTELO, CITY MANAMJ:.:DATE: AUGUST 10, 1990
FILE NUMBER:
FROM: JOHN C. HU TON, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
SUBJECT: WELL #22
Robert Lavin met with Paul Carver from Willdan Associates on Tuesday, August 7
to discuss alternatives to the air problem at Well #22.
Mr. Carver promised to have a proposal back to us by Friday, August, 10. On
Monday, August 13, I contacted his office and was informed that he was out of
town until later this week.
Also, Mr. Lavin contacted John Egan, the consulting engineer for Well #24, and
he informed him that the recommendation made by JF Davidson to be a good one
and suggested that we implement it.
Since Mr. Carver has not yet presented his proposal, and time is of the essence,
I have placed the recommendation for the aeration tank back on the agenda. Also,
the State Health Department has been contacting this office almost daily about the
complaints from the customers in the area of Well #22 and have asked that a log
be kept of the complaints and what solutions/actions have been taken by the City.
I have talked with Jim Fife and Diane Barrich of the State Health Department and
explained what Public Works would like to do to eliminate the air problems from
the area.
/lj
xc Mayor Gonzales
Councilman Rios
