Relevant codes and regulations. <br />Skill in: <br />Planning, estimating, coordinating, and scheduling the work <br />of crews. Preparing and maintaining a variety of accurate <br />written records and reports pertaining to the work. Reading <br />and interpreting plans, maps and specifications and manuals. <br />Operating and maintaining equipment and tools used in the <br />field. Establishing and maintaining effective working <br />relationships with those encountered in the course of the <br />work. Identifying and implementing effective courses of <br />action to complete assigned work. Coordinating crew <br />assignments with other divisions, departments and agencies. <br />Other Requirements: <br />Must -possess a valid Class I California driver's license and <br />have a satisfactory driving record. Must be willing to work <br />out of doors in all weather conditions and to work with <br />exposure 'to unpleasant and potentially hazardous <br />conditions. Must be free oodp allergies to pollen or dust. <br />Must be willing to work early morning, evening and weekend <br />shifts. A typical way of gaining the knowldge and skills <br />outlined above is: <br />Education and Training: <br />Equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of <br />experience as a crew leader in refuse collection and <br />disposal work at a level equivalent to the City's Sanitation <br />Truck Driver class. <br />
