Mr. John Hutton <br />City of Colton <br />April 23, 1990 <br />Page - 2 - <br />The cost of the Insituform activity includes a flushing of <br />the line, if needed, a pre and post video of the line, and all <br />material and labor (except as noted in the following special <br />provisions) for the Insituform installation. <br />The following are special provisions that apply to this <br />project and estimate: <br />1. The City of Colton (City) will perform, or arrange for, <br />all point repairs needed for the Insituform process. <br />No point repairs are anticipated, but this will be <br />verified by the video inspection. <br />2. The City will provide water for the Insituform process, <br />at no cost to ISW, including a water meter, if <br />required. <br />3. The City will provide access to all street manholes on <br />the sewer. <br />4. Due to the 24 hour operation of the Insituform <br />activity, there can be no restrictions on working hours <br />or days. <br />5. Due to the severe deterioration of sections of this <br />sewer, ISW cannot guarantee the complete cleaning of <br />this line and cannot accept responsibility of any pipe <br />sections collapsing, using normal cleaning procedures. <br />6. All Insituform work for the project will conform to the <br />attached specifications titled "Standard Specifications <br />for the Insituform Process" dated 2-90. <br />7. Final inspection will be accomplished by a post video <br />of the line provided by ISW. <br />8. Our proposal is based on using Laborers' Local Union <br />1234 labor rates for this project, which has been <br />accepted by the State of California as the prevailing <br />wage for the Insituform activity. <br />
