E <br />r <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />(CONTINUED) <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF November 20, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: CONVERT PART-TIME POLICE DISPATCHERS, <br />POLICE SERVICES CLERKS TO FULL-TIME POSITIONS <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />During this fiscal year, the police part-time services clerk and <br />dispatchers have been working 40 hours per week. Consequently, <br />additional costs to the City would consist of the City of Colton <br />benefit package: <br />POLICE SERVICES CLERK I <br />City of Colton benefit package: $604 month X 2 persons - $1,208 Mo. <br />POLICE DISPATCHER I <br />City of Colton benefit package: $635 month X 2 persons = $1,270 Mo. <br />The total cost of additional benefits for four police personnel <br />through mid -year 1990-91 budget reviews will be $4,956.00. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the conversion of <br />two part-time police clerks and two part-time police dispatchers to <br />full-time positions. The cost associated with these conversions is <br />available in police salary and benefit accounts caused by vacancies <br />in Administration, Services, and Patrol Divisions. <br />Report prepared by: Patrick G.
