They will be sent a matchlist of other employees living in the same zip-code and/or <br />city, specifying the employee's department and work extension. The list will also include a <br />personal note fmm the ETC. <br />Two weeks following the distribution of the matchlists, employoes from the same or contiguous <br />� zip-codes and cities will be invited to a coffee and doughnut break to meet their neighbors, and <br />to find out more about the advantages of carpooling. During this initial phase of the program, <br />employees will be instructed on qualifications for awards, prizes and recognition. <br />i� <br />u <br />r <br />� <br />Two weeks after the coffee session, the ETC will phone those who attended, and offer further <br />assistance in ananging their carpools. T'hose who are resistant to carpooling will be asked to <br />identify what problem areas hinder their participa[ion in a carpool. The ETC will work with the <br />employees in solving these problems. <br />Each employee willing to carpool will receive a$15 monthly subsidy toward gas script, oil <br />changes, tune-ups, etc. <br />� Role of the Coordinator: The transportation coordinator will have the most vital role in the <br />development and implementation of the carpool program. Information distribution to employees <br />and follow-up and personalized assistance will enable the employees to gain confidence in <br />� maintaining their participation in ridesharing. Following each description of the strategies, is <br />the estimated the number of hours that the ETC will spend on each program. Fxtra hours will <br />be granted if adjustments are necessary. <br />r <br />r <br />Timeline: (See Master Timeline At The End Of The Secdon) <br />Resources: <br />Staff Time: This program will take approximately 8 hours per week of the ETC ome <br />� over the first month, 4 hours per week over the second month, and about 2 hours per <br />week thereafter. <br />r <br />r <br />r <br />Operating Budget: The City of Colton expects to spend $8,836 per year implementing <br />this program. <br />16 <br />
