� <br />� <br />� <br />METHODOLOGY <br />A five-step process was followed by the Corporate Yard to develop a TDM plan that meets the <br />Regulation XV requirements. <br />STEP 1- Management Briefing: Reguladon XV will require the cooperation of all <br />department managers in the development of the commute management plan and the <br />implementation of tfie strategies. The success of the plan will depend on the cooperation <br />of City Administration, Personnel, Human Resource and other operational departments. <br />� STEP 2- Conduct Situadon Analysis: Prior to distributing the surveys employees were <br />shown a video presentation about "Traffic Gridlock". In the process of preparing this <br />plan, commute questionnaires were personally distributod by the Human Resource <br />� Dire�tor to each dept. Each department held a meeting with the employees to discuss the <br />purpose of the survey and to answer employee questions. The survey was designed to <br />obtain data pertaining to the commuter characterisdcs of the Corporate Yard site, as well <br />� as employee attitudes about ridesharing alternatives. Surveys were distributed to all <br />employees. There are a total of 136 employees, 119 of these employees report between <br />� 6-l0am. There were 103 respondents from the 119 surveys that were distributed to the <br />6-l0am group, thus representing a 88.89b return rate. Non respondents were counted as <br />dnve alone commuters. Data from the survey was used to produce frequency tables, <br />� cross tabulations, employee distribution density tables, and tabulation of responses to <br />open-ended questions. Elements of the plan are based on the tabulated data. <br />� <br />� <br />�, i <br />� <br />� <br />Eldstic conducted a site analysis and inventory of the commute transportation alternatives <br />and services such as bike facilides, transit stops, bike paths and sidewalks. <br />Employee focus group and a management focus groups were conducted to elicit employee <br />and management input and commitment. The purpose of the focus groups was to <br />generate suggestions about programs that would be utilized when implemented at the <br />Corporate Yard site. <br />ST'EP 3- Establish Goals and Objectives: The ridesharing plan for the Corporate Yazd <br />Nis based on data obtained from the surveys, focus groups and recommendations submitted <br />by employees to the Personnel and Human Resource Directors. <br />� <br />� <br />� <br />� <br />�' <br />STEP 4- Identification of Strategies: Strategies were identified to reach the goals and <br />objecdves defined in step 3. <br />STEP S- Submittal of Regulation XV Plan. <br />2 <br />
