Ms. Helen Cortez
September 21, 1990
Page 2
Assuming that Mesquite Group is offered a contract, I desire to
work carefully with the City in several contract areas including
the budget. In their proposal, Mesquite Group included an
approximately $60,000 contingency amount. That contingency
should be included in the contract, but is not to be available to
the consultant without the expressed consent of the project
managers, for both the City of Colton and the Energy Commission.
My approval of contracts and subcontracts is necessary as noted
in the funding agreement between the City and the Commission.
Helen, again I want to say to you a very special "Thank you" for
all the arrangements made before and during the panel interviews.
Everything progressed like clockwork. Please advise me of the
City Council's decision.
Sincerely,
ROLE PEAKE
Geothermal Project Manager
RP:st
cc: John Hutton, Director of Public Works
Michael Smith, Geothermal Program Manager, Energy Commission
