La Cadena Drive Colton, CA 92324 Dear Helen: RECOMMENDATION OF A CONSULTANT TO COMPLETE THE CITY OF COLTON GEOTHERMAL RESOURCE ASSESSMENT AND THE ENGINEERING FEASIBILITY WORK This letter briefly summarizes relevant points concerning the geothermal consultant selection. The scores by each rater and the averages of those total scores are noted in the following matrix for the four firms given final consideration: Based on average scores, the panel recommends Mesquite Group to the City of Colton to complete the geothermal energy evaluation. Averaging the scores is also consistent with the selection of Mesquite Group by three of the five raters as their number one choice. I am comfortable that any one of the four "finalist" firms would do a fine job of evaluating the resource and potential resource users. My scores support this statement. Even though Mesquite Group was not my first choice, I support the panel's decision to recommend Mesquite Group to the City Council.
