CITY OF COLTON <br />FIRE BATTALION COMMANDER (continued) <br />Principles and practices of supervision and <br />rules, regulations and procedures involved in <br />administration and organization. <br />ABILITIY TO: - <br />training; Policies <br />Fire Department <br />Rapidly analyze complex fire problems and adopt effective <br />responses; Prepare clear and concise oral and written reports and <br />presentations; Plan, organize, coordinate the work of others; to <br />assist in the development and implementation of departmental <br />rules, regulations, and procedures; establish and maintain an <br />effective working relationship with fire personnel, public and <br />private representatives and organizations. <br />TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE <br />Any combination of experience and training that would provide the <br />required knowledges and abilities equivalent to six years of <br />experience in a firefighting department including at least two <br />years of experience at the level of a Captain and graduation from <br />a high, trade or technical schooL <br />A typical way to obtain the necessary training and experience <br />would be graduation from high school or its equivalent plus six <br />years of experience in a firefighting department, including at <br />least two years at the level of a Captain. <br />APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL <br />
