CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT (CONTINUED) <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF_ October 1, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: RADIO EQUIPMENT LEASE - PURCHASE AGREEMENT <br />In the event the Colton Police Department does not adapt the 800 MHz <br />System, the Police Department will not only be isolated from all <br />other police agencies, but from the Colton Fire Department as well. <br />The attached lease -purchase agreement will provide the police <br />department with a cost effective means of purchasing the required <br />equipment to have access to the county -wide network system. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Through the lease -purchase agreement with Motorola Corporation, the <br />Colton Police Department can purchase the equipment on a seven (7) <br />year lease where Colton would own the equipment upon final payment. <br />There will be seven (7) annual payments of $79,755.89 per year. The <br />first payment will not be due until April 1, 1993. <br />Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to <br />execute the attached lease -purchase agreement. <br />Report prepared by P.
