COMMUNITY AND AREA LABOR CHARACTERISTICS According to the 1990 Census, the City of Colton has the following racial composition as a percentage of total population for its protected classes: Black Hispanic Female 9% 49.6% 51.1% The Riverside -San Bernardino -Ontario Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA) constitutes the normal recruiting area for the City of Colton. Their 1983 statistics show the following percentage of protected class members in the SMSA civilian labor force: Black Hispanic Female Management 3.4% 8.0% 41.1% Non -management 3.6% 19.3% 41.4% IV. CITY OF COLTON WORKFORCE UTILIZATION ANALYSIS The following table shows employment statistics for all full time positions in the City of Colton filled as of June 30, 1992. The category "Management" includes those City employees in the Management/ Confidential unit and Executive group. "Non -management" includes all other full-time employees.
