Miscellaneous: <br />(1) Information regarding the change in the Utility Bills must get <br />out to our Customers well in advance of any changes. The following <br />suggestions to accomplish this involve developing a brochure to <br />mail directly to our customers explaining the new bill and payment <br />options. Press releases in '_ocal newspapers and the Community <br />Newsletter should also be used to deliver the message. <br />(SEE ATTACHMENT 2) <br />Fiscal ImRact• <br />Computer acquisition and Electric Utility staff addition are <br />included in Fiscal Year 1992/93 Budget. <br />Additional aforementioned expenses required to implement the <br />Monthly Utilities Bill Payment Options that are in excess of those <br />amounts previously budgeted for in Fiscal Year 1992/93 are $63,450. <br />These expenses are to be paid for out of Utilities Enterprise Funds <br />and will have no fiscal impact on the General Fund. <br />(SEE ATTACHMENT 2) <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends the City Council approve the implementation of the <br />Monthly Utilities Billing Option as presented in this report.
