CITY OF COLTON <br />ECONOMIC/REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER <br />DEFINITION <br />Under administrative direction, initiates, organizes, and coordinates <br />economic and redevelopment projects and programs within the City of <br />Colton; provides responsible technical and administrative support to <br />the Economic Development Director and Redevelopment Agency; coordinates <br />the activities of City-wide project teams; performs and directs studies <br />and analysis; develops and implements public relations programs; and <br />supervises assigned staff. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br />Receives general direction from the Economic Development Director. <br />Exercises direct and indirect supervision over professional, technical <br />and clerical staff. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the <br />following: <br />Plan, coordinate, and manage redevelopment projects and programs for <br />the Redevelopment Agency; monitor contract compliance for projects. <br />Assist the Economic Development Director and Redevelopment Agency in <br />establishing economic goals and policies; coordinate with other City <br />departments to perform short and long range planning to ensure stable <br />economic growth. <br />Promote redevelopment activities with contractors, owners, and other <br />interested parties. <br />Establish and maintain close cooperation with appropriate public and <br />private organizations, departments, agencies, and individuals involved <br />with economic and redevelopment activities; maximize community <br />involvement in planning and implementing economic and redevelopment <br />activities. <br />Assist with City-wide activities related to the execution of the City's <br />long range plans; facilitate discussions with City staff and community <br />representatives; direct and participate in project teams; administer <br />project related contract services. <br />Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding City economic <br />development and redevelopment, project activities, and other related <br />matters; attend meetings; serve on committees as assigned and <br />participate in discussions regarding City operations and economic <br />development; provide liaison to potential investors, developers, local <br />businesses, and the public. <br />Maintain detailed files such as parcels, economic and environmental <br />data and land planning information within the redevelopment area; <br />provide information to developers by identifying buyers and sellers in <br />the redevelopment area. <br />
