CITY OF COLTON <br />Personnel Analyst I <br />Personnel Analyst II <br />Page 2 <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (Continued) <br />notify applicants of status during the various phases of the <br />recruitment/selection process. <br />Conduct classification studies and develop class specifications; conduct <br />salary and benefits surveys; perform analysis and develop recommendations <br />regarding recommended adjustments and program of implementation; prepare <br />detailed reports. <br />Administer employee benefits programs and the Affirmative Action Program. <br />Provide administrative staff support in the labor negotiations process; <br />participate in the administration of labor agreements, grievances and <br />disciplinary action proceedings. <br />Conduct studies, analyses and research on a broad range of personnel <br />assignments; complete a variety of surveys and reports. <br />Analyze legislation and regulations to determine effect on personnel programs <br />and services. <br />Identify and coordinate training and career development opportunities. <br />Explain City employment policies and procedures; provide new employee <br />orientation; explain employment benefits; coordinate enrollment in insurance <br />plans. <br />Assist with preparation and processing of workers' compensation insurance <br />claims; provide liaison to other City staff, claims adjustors and <br />investigators, and insurance agents in the disposition of claims. <br />As designated representative, attend conferences, meetings, or public <br />functions; may lead or participate in discussions regarding personnel or <br />benefits issues. <br />Interpret personnel policies and procedures; respond to requests for <br />information and assistance from employees, elected officials, management, <br />outside agencies, bargaining units and the public. <br />Act in the absence of the Personnel Director. <br />May direct the work of other personnel in the execution of responsibilities. <br />Perform related duties as required. <br />LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid California class "C" driver's <br />license. <br />
