CITY OF COLTON <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR <br />ONE (1) NEW COMPOSTER/AERATOR UNIT <br />WITH OPERATING ACCESSORIES <br />GENERAL: <br />It is the intent of this specification to describe a new <br />composter/aerator unit complete with all the necessary <br />operating accessories, customarily furnished with machines of <br />this type whether stipulated herein or not. The unit will be <br />used with a Case 580D tractor/backhoe. The equipment shall <br />be essentially the standard product of the manufacturer and <br />of manufacturer's current model and none of the accessories <br />are to be removed for the reason that it is not mentioned in <br />these specifications. Each vendor must submit complete <br />factory specifications on each piece of equipment he proposes <br />to furnish with this bid. <br />These specifications describe the minimum requirements for <br />the unit. The unit shall be furnished complete and ready for <br />use and shall have been shop and field tested prior to <br />delivery. <br />All parts of the equipment furnished shall be amply designed <br />and constructed for the maximum stresses occurring during <br />continuous operation. All materials shall be new and both <br />workmanship and materials shall be of the very best quality <br />and entirely suitable for the service to which the equipment <br />will be subjected. No prototype equipment shall be allowed. <br />The bidder must be the manufacturer or authorized distributor <br />capable of providing warranty, parts and service on the <br />subject equipment as outlined in these specifications. <br />The materials to be turned and transferred by the composter <br />unit shall have the following unit weights: <br />Sludge <br />Compost <br />PRICE: <br />65 lb./cu. ft. <br />37 lb./cu. ft. <br />F.O.B. Colton, delivered. Price to include all discounts and <br />state tax. No federal excise tax is to be charged. If <br />necessary, the City of Colton will furnish exemption <br />certificates for federal excise tax. <br />DELIVERY: <br />Bidder must state the best estimate of delivery on the <br />Bidders Proposal and Statement. <br />
