JOHNSON <br />Personnel Director -/I),, <br />ADOPT JOB DESCRIPTION AND APPROVE SALARY RANGE FOR INFORMATION <br />SYSTEMS MANAGER <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City invests a significant amount of resources in its computer systems, however there are currently no <br />budgeted City positions to supervise and maintain those systems. Following a comprehensive study conducted <br />by Kerry Consulting Group, the Executive Committee composed of the City Manager, City Treasurer, Finance <br />Director and Department Head Representative have determined that it is in the best interest of the City to <br />establish a full-time Information Systems Manager to supervise, coordinate, and enforce existing computer <br />systems policies and programs. The attached job description and salary range have been provided to Mike <br />Lynd, the SBPEA employee representative, for review and comment. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt the attached job description and approve the resolution establishing the salary for Information Systems <br />Manager. <br />/I <br />Concur /Z a e <br />City Manager <br />C:INFOSMGR <br />
