8. No temporary promotional sign shall be placed or fixed to <br />1 any publicly owned tree, fence, or utility pole within <br />the public right of way or otherwise posted on any public <br />2 property. <br />9. No more than three temporary promotional signs may be <br />3 posted on private property in residentially zoned areas <br />of the city relating to the same date-specific event. <br />4 The total square footage of all temporary promotional <br />signs posted in a single private property located in a <br />5 residentially zoned area of the City relating to the same <br />6 date-specific event shall not exceed 96 square feet. <br />10. There shall be a front yard setback of ten feet on <br />7 residential lots. <br />8 18.50.131 Enforcement of Temporary Promotional Sign Reaulations <br />9 Enforcement of the provisions of section 18.50.130 shall be <br />effected as provided in this section as follows: <br />10 <br />1. The Community Development Director or his designee may <br />11 summarily and without prior notice remove any temporary <br />promotional sign which constitutes an immediate peril to <br />12 persons or property. <br />13 2. If the Community Development Director finds that any <br />temporary promotional sign has been posted or is being <br />14 maintained in violation of the provisions of this <br />section, the Community Development Director shall issue <br />15 to the sign owner or the owner's authorized agent an oral <br />or written demand for the removal or of such sign or for <br />16 correction of the violation within five days. <br />17 3. Such notice shall include a brief statement of the <br />reasons for requiring removal. <br />18 <br />4. The Community Development Director or his designee shall <br />19 use due diligence to provide such notice by telephone or <br />in person, and in addition, may provide such notice in <br />20 writing by hand delivery or by placing such notice in the <br />United States Mail addressed to the last known address of <br />21 the owner of any sign posted in violation of this <br />section. <br />22 <br />5. <br />Upon the failure of any owner of any temporary <br />23 promotional sign posted in violation of this section to <br />correct the violation or to remove such temporary <br />24 promotional sign after notice by the Community <br />Development Director or his designee the Community <br />25. Development Director or his designee shall have the <br />authority to remove all such illegally posted temporary <br />26 promotional signs, and to dispose of such temporary <br />promotional signs if they are not claimed by the owner <br />27 within 10 working days. <br />28 <br />2 - <br />
