Page No. <br />E. Rebates are available on a first come, first served bases until available funds for <br />the program are exhausted. "First come" is defined as the date of the receipt of the <br />rebate application by the Utility. <br />F. To qualify for a rebate, all purchased equipment and/or materials for which a rebate <br />is requested must meet all applicable California Energy Commission (CEC) requirements. <br />Lighting equipment or materials must be listed in the applicable CEC directory. <br />G. The Customer not the Utility is responsible for assuring that the installation of <br />materials or equipment meet Federal, State , and Local requirements. The Customer is <br />also responsible for assuring that lamps and ballasts, and any other hazardous <br />materials that may be generated as part of the program, be handled and disposed of in <br />a manner that complies applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements <br />H. The Utility reserves the right to review, evaluate. approve, or disapprove the kW <br />reduction potential of any lighting measure submitted by a Customer. <br />I. Rebates will only be provided for lighting measures which modify an existing lighting <br />system. <br />J. Lighting measures are required to meet minimum Title 24 energy standards. Rebates <br />will only be provided to the extent that the measures would exceed these standards. <br />The Utility reserves the right to determine to what extent the proposed measures are <br />required to meet or exceed the standards. the Utility may request documentation from <br />the Customer on the extent that the proposed measures will exceed the energy <br />standards. <br />PROGRAM PROCEDURES <br />A. The Customer wanting to participate in this program must contact the Utility and <br />request an Application for the Commercial Lighting Rebate Program before starting any <br />modifications. <br />B. The Utility will conduct a preinstallation energy audit of the existing lighting <br />system, and evaluate energy savings from any proposed lighting changes. The Customer <br />will be provided an estimate of the kW reduction from the proposed lighting system <br />modifications and an estimate of the resultant rebate. No rebates will be provided if <br />measures are installed before the pre -installation inspection by the Utility. <br />C. The program Application must be completed and signed by the Customer and the Utility. <br />Upon approval of the application, the Customer will be notified in writing of the <br />approval and rebate funds will be reserved. <br />D. After the approved lighting equipment is installed, the Customer must provide the <br />Utility with itemized proof of purchase (invoice or sales slip). <br />E. The Utility will conduct a post -installation inspection to verify approved lighting <br />measures equipment installation. Upon satisfactory completion of the inspection, a <br />Final Rebate Agreement will be executed by the Customer and the Utility. <br />F. Upon receipt of the completed and approved Final Rebate Agreement, the Utility will <br />authorize the issuance of the rebate funds to the Customer. <br />ISSUED BY <br />Gale A.
