CITY OF COLTON AGENDA REPORT For Council Meeting of April 5, 1994 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council FROM: Hani W. Gabriel, Economic Development Director 44w SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTIONS RELATING TO THE CREATION OF 1915 ACT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT AND ENGINEER'S REPORT Background Date: April 5, 1994 Pursuant to the wishes of the City Council and Redevelopment Agency, staff has initiated the creation of a 1915 Act Assessment District at the Rancho Mediterrania Mobilehome Park, to allow for the City's purchase of the streets. In order to proceed with the District, Staff has attached the following for consideration by the Council/Agency: 1. Resolution of the City Council expressing its intent to form the District, including the adoption of the Engineer's Report, 2. Resolution of the members of the Redevelopment Agency approving the formation of the District and the waiver, 3. Agency Waiver of certain procedural matters relating to the formation of the District, and, 4. Form of the Notice for the Setting of Public Hearing (separate Council item). Recommendation Staff recommends the adoption of the following: 1 . Resolution of Intention to form the Rancho Mediterrania Public Improvements Assessment District within the City of Colton. 2. Resolution of the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton consenting to the formation of the Rancho Mediterrania Public Improvements Assessment District within the City of Colton and approving and authorizing the execution of a Waiver in connection therewith. 3. Waiver of certain procedural matters relating to the formation of the District.
