CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of April 5, 1994 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: Randy Anstine, Director of Recreation and Human Services <br />SUBJECT: Revision to Job Description Community Youth Project Coordinator <br />DATE: March 30, 1994 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />After being in my present position for one month, I have had to opportunity to study the Community <br />Youth Project Coordinator position. After reviewing the existing job description, I have determined <br />that the present job description does not adequately reflect the duties of the position. <br />JUST[CATION: <br />This position, requires the coordinator to demonstrate a strong leadership ability, committed to <br />generating and recommending policies that will reach and serve underserved adolescents. This <br />individual must be able to reach out to families, schools, and a wide range of community leaders <br />committed to youth development. The recommended changes to the job description allows for the <br />Community Youth Project Coordinator to achieve these most important goals. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />NONE <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Mayor and Council adopt the proposed changes to the Community Youth Project Coordinator <br />position, and direct staff to re -advertise the position, using the new job description. <br />City Manager's Concurrence <br />RA:mc <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />-Job Description <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />Item No. az / <br />
