AGENDA REPORT <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />For Adjourned City Council Meeting of <br />April 22, 1994 <br />April 20, 1994 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: Julie Hayward Biggs, City Attorney <br />SUBJECT: Resolution of Intention to Terminate the City Manager <br />As directed by the City Council at the City Council meeting held on April 19, <br />1994, the attached Resolution to Terminate the City Manager has been prepared. This <br />Resolution must be adopted in public by the City Council, although it may be first discussed in <br />closed session as a continuation of Item 35 from the adjourned meeting. Once adopted by the <br />City Council, it must be served, personally or by registered mail, on Jerry Young. The Council <br />will need to set a date for public hearing on this matter, as well. That date can be no earlier <br />than May 6, 1994 and no later than May 22, 1994. At that hearing, Jerry Young must be <br />afforded the opportunity to be heard and to defend himself against the charges set forth in the <br />Resolution. <br />At the hearing, or within five days of the hearing, the City Council must adopt <br />another resolution either terminating the City Manager or retaining him. <br />Concurrence: <br />City Manager <br />
