The current job description for this position was last approved by Council on March 16, <br />1976 and currently requires "a valid Class 1 (A) California driver's license at or within six (6) months after <br />appointment. Current work conditions and federal and state regulations require that incumbents have the Class <br />A driver's license at the time of appointment, therefore we are requesting that the City Council approve the <br />attached revised job description for Truck Driver -Operator. The only change is under the section "License or <br />Certificate. " <br />The Public Works Department has requested that a recruitment be conducted to fill current and future vacancies <br />in the Sanitation Division. Before we begin the recruitment we are asking the City Council to approve the <br />attached revised job description for the position. Also attached is a copy of the Request for Recruitment form <br />from John C.
