It shall be the responsibility of each member of <br />the City Council of the City of Colton to nominate one individual to serve on each of the <br />various City Commissions and Committees within the City subject to ratification by a <br />majority vote of the City Council. In the event that a member of the City Council shall <br />fail to make any nomination within thirty (30) days of the date of his or her being sworn <br />in to office or within sixty (60) days of the occurrence of a vacancy, any other member <br />of the City Council wishing to nominate a person to that position may do so, subject to <br />ratification by majority vote of the City Council. No individual shall serve on more than <br />one Commission or Committee. Individuals serving on Commissions or Committees shall <br />represent the electoral district of the Councilmember who is responsible for nominating <br />individuals to serve on that Commission or Committee, but may reside anywhere in the <br />City. Individuals nominated by the Mayor to serve on a Commission or Committee shall <br />represent the City at large on that Commission or Committee,and may reside anywhere <br />in the City." <br />
