Lavin, Water Utilities Manager <br />SUBJECT: <br />Approval of Emergency Repairs to Well #16 in <br />the Amount of $13,271.34 <br />Date: <br />BACKGROUND <br />Well #16 is located at Rialto and Muscott in San Bernardino and provides water to <br />the entire City. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The well was pulled for inspection when the production dropped significantly. Tri <br />County Equipment and Repair has submitted a quote in the amount of $13,271.34 <br />' for the necessary repairs. In order to insure that a sufficient water supply is <br />available throughout the City, Well #16 needs to be repaired as soon as possible. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Well repairs are included in each year's budget. Sufficient funds exist in account <br />#21-6001-41 for the repairs. <br />u RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council adopt the attached Resolution declaring the repairs <br />to Well #16 to be an emergency and authorize Tri -County Equipment and Repair to <br />make the necessary repairs in the amount of $13,217.34. <br />LJAj <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: ^^ <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of— <br />Item No. 6 <br />
