Colton PAC Formation Procedures <br />formation the PAC, election of PAC members, and verification of <br />the election by the City Council`. <br />3. The Agency shall provide written notice of the PAC formation meet- <br />ing via first class mail to all mailing addresses in the Project Area, <br />regardless of whether such addresses are business or residential <br />properties, whether they are occupied by .owners or tenants, and <br />shall include all community organizations in the Project Area. The <br />written notice shall briefly explain the reasons why the. PAC is be- <br />ing formed, where copies of the preliminary, draft Redevelopment <br />Plan, or pertinent portions thereof, may be obtained, and where in- <br />formation regarding financial disclosure may be obtained. The <br />written notice shall also include a map of the Project Area, and a <br />schedule of meetings for the formation the PAC, election of PAC <br />members, and verification of the election by the. City Council. <br />4. The PAC, election meeting shall be held no more than two weeks, <br />but no less than one week after the initial PAC formation meeting <br />is held. <br />5. To the greatest extent feasible, the composition of the PAC shall in <br />elude, as applicable or available, residential owner occupants, resi- <br />dential tenants, business owners, business tenants,, and <br />representatives of community organizations within the Project <br />Area. <br />ELECTION OF _PAC MEMBERS <br />1. At the .time and place of the meeting held to elect the PAC, the <br />Agency shall provide a second briefing to attendees on election pro- <br />cedures, PAC 'roles and duties, how individuals may participate, <br />disclosure requirements, and the. provisions of the Ralph M. Brown <br />Act. <br />2. Following the briefing, those present who reside in, own a business <br />in, or represent a community organization in the project area shall <br />select a temporary chair who shall conduct the election proceedings. <br />3. The City Clerk of the City of Colton shall supervise ` the PAC <br />election, and shall record all results thereof. <br />4. Those present and eligible to vote shall determine the maximum <br />number of members who may serve on the PAC at any one time. <br />. 2 <br />i <br />
