Since the <br />adoption of t�e City Budget in August, staff has moved fonvard in obtaining s�iec�cations and cost <br />estimates on the equipment necessary to televise Council meetings. Addidona�ly, staff has contacted a J' <br />video production professional to,inquire into the feasibility and cost of contrac�ing out for video <br />production services. , <br />DISCUSSI�N: <br />GeneraI <br />LTnder its pr�sent Franchise:Agreement, TCI Cablevision of California, agrees� to provide a full-time <br />public-access government channel. Colton shall possess the right and technic� ability to preempt, upon <br />reasonable notice,. progra�nming at any time and assert its awn programuling , y w�y of thexeverse link <br />from Gity;Ha�ll. Under the pr.esent F'ranchise Agreement, TCI Ca6levision has no obligation to provide a <br />public access or local originatio� studio. <br />Settlement Agreement <br />;: Prior to 198�, the Colton Cab1e Franchise Agreement contained a provision fi <br />j provide a local origination studio.
