PROPOSAL TO: CITY COUNCIL CITY OF COLTON COLTON, CALIFORNIA 92324 The undersigned bidder hereby proposed to furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools and services necessary to perform all work required for the construction of pumping facilities for Well No. 24 in accordance with the specifications, drawings and all addenda issued by City. Bidder agrees that, within 10 calendar days after receipt of con- tract from City, he will execute contract in the required form, of which the Notice Inviting Bids, Drawings and all Addenda issued by City prior to the opening of proposals, are a part, and will secure the required insurance and bonds and furnish the required insurance certificates; and that upon failure to do so within said time, then the proposal guarantee furnished by bidder shall be forfeited to City as liquidated damages for such failure; provided, that if bidder shall execute the contract, secure the required insurance and bonds, and furnish the required insurance certificates within said time, his check, if furnished, shall be returned to him within 5 days thereafter, and the bid bond, if furnished, shall become void. It is further understood that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date set for the opening thereof, unless otherwise required by law. In conformance with current statutory requirements of Sections 1860, et seq., of the California Labor Code, the undersigned con- forms the following as his certification: I am aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the Labor Code which requires every employer to be insured against liability for worker's compensation or to undertake self- insurance in accordance with the provisions of that code, and I will comply with such provisions before commencing the performance of the work of this contract. Bidder further agrees to complete all work required under the contract within the time stipulated in said specifications and to accept in full payment therefore the price(s) named in the above- mentioned bidding schedule(s).
