JOHNSON <br />Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: PURCHASING MANAGER - REVISION OF JOB DESCRIPTION <br />BACKGROUND <br />On December 21, 1993, the City Council approved the reclassification of General Services Manager to <br />Purchasing Manager and adopted a job description for that new classification. Following input from the public, <br />a city employee and the SBPEA representative plus a report to the City Council at its January 18, 1994, <br />meeting, the Purchasing Manager job description has been revised to list the minimum experience and training <br />requirements in the same manner they were in the General Services Manager job description.
