CITY OF COLTON <br />PROPOSED SCHEDULE <br />PUBLIC RELATIONS EFFORT <br />GREEN WASTE PROGRAM <br />This schedule is predicated on Green Waste <br />pick-up beginning the first week in <br />January 1994 <br />November 1, 1993 <br />First public notice of Green Waste program to be mailed <br />to all households. <br />Notice to all elementary and middle schools within the <br />city limits of Colton announcing poster and/or essay <br />contests. z <br />First media release on Green Waste Program and school <br />contests. <br />Set up Green Waste hot/answer line if feasible. <br />December 1-2 <br />Town meeting or meetings. <br />Notification/advertising for town meeting/meetings - last <br />two weeks in November. <br />Latter part of the first week in January 1994 <br />Kick-off press conference on lawn in front of City Hall, <br />La Cadena. <br />Press advisories & invitations and notifications to go <br />out no latter than December 15. <br />January 12, 1994 <br />Contest entries due <br />January 13, 1994 <br />Contest Judging <br />Week of January 16, 1994 <br />Notification of contest winners <br />Second Colton City Council meeting in February 1994 <br />Awards Ceremony for school contest winners <br />
