s <br />9 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />WHEREAS, as a result of discussions with <br />representatives of the Project Area such representatives formed <br />a temporary committee and amongst themselves deemed it desirable <br />to cause the formation of a Citizens' Advisory Committee in lieu <br />of a Project Area Committee, which Citizens' Advisory Committee <br />is to provide input on the redevelopment plan adoption process <br />and to consult with the Agency regarding the adoption of the <br />proposed redevelopment plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and <br />determines as follows: <br />A. The City Council and the Agency have complied with <br />the provisions of Health and Safety § 33385 in their attempt to <br />form a Project Area Committee and have previously caused to be <br />distributed the appropriate notices and information regarding the <br />formation of a Project Area Committee and have held the <br />applicable public hearings and meetings regarding the formation <br />of a Project Area Committee. <br />B. The attendees at the meeting held to elect a <br />Project Area Committee have, amongst themselves and on their own <br />volition, deemed it desirable to cause the formation of a <br />Citizens' Advisory Committee in lieu of a Project Area Committee <br />in order to avoid the formality and proceedings associated with <br />-3- <br />
