b) "M" Street on the south side (east bound) 100 feet east and <br />west of 7th Street. <br />Note: This requires a 4 way stop intersection at 7th and "M" <br />Street to provide the additional margin of safety at this <br />intersection with decreased visibility due to diagonal <br />parking <br />Area 2) The Central Business District downtown 9th Street, "C" Street <br />to Valley, "D" Street 10th to 7th Street & "F" Street 9th to <br />7th Street. <br />Note: It is recommended; in order to provide sufficient width <br />for traffic, that the existing diagonal parking on the <br />south side of "F" Street between La Cadena Drive and 7th <br />be relocated to the north side <br />"D" Street south side (east bound) between La Cadena <br />Drive and 9th, "D" Street south side (east bound) 150 <br />feet west of La Cadena Drive and 150 feet east of 9th <br />Street, 9th Street - west side only - (south bound) <br />between "F" Street and "D" Street and "F" Street north <br />side (west bound) between 9th and 7th Streets. <br />Note: With diagonal parking in apposing directions the <br />installation of 4 way stop intersections at 9th and "F" <br />Streets and 9th and "D" Streets are recommended. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff would recommended that Council consider approval of the installation of <br />all previously mentioned diagonal parking for areas 1 and 2 <br />Additionally staff would recommend the optional installation of 4 way stop <br />intersections as indicated to provide a secured and controlled intersection <br />for cross traffic and visibility purposes. <br />Implementing these recommendations should provide the parking necessary to <br />accommodate area resident and business needs, and the recommended stop <br />intersections will provide the margin of safety necessary to control traffic <br />and pedestrian movement at these,,- <br />-locations - <br />City Manager's Concurrency <br />B:PARKAGEN <br />
