zs <br />Claim of Interinsurance Exchange of Auto Club for Ira M..Frank, M. D. <br />City Attorney Hutton stated the Claim of the Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club <br />of Southern California for Ira M. Frank, M. D., versus the City of Colton had been turned over <br />to our insurance carrier and they now recommend the Claim be rejected. <br />On motion of Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, the <br />Claim of Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club of Southern California for Ira M. Frank, <br />M. D., versus the City of Colton was rejected as recommended by Staff. <br />Claim of Barbara Medeiros. <br />City Attorney Hutton stated the Claim of Barbara Medeiros versus the City of Colton concerns <br />the death of the claimants dog which was struck accidentally by a Colton Police car. <br />Mr. Hutton advised','ithat this claim had been referred to our insurance carrier, and they are now <br />recommending that the claim be rejected. <br />On motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and unanimously passed, the <br />Claim of Barbara Medeiros versus the City of Colton was rejected as recommended by Staff. <br />Claim of Walter C. Engel. <br />City Attorney Hutton advised the Claim of Walter C. Engel, M. D. versus the City of Colton in- <br />volves a sewer problem, which created damage in the basement of Dr. Engel's medical building. <br />Mr. Hutton rec ommended that this claim be referred to the insurance carrier. <br />On motion of Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, the <br />Claim of Walter C. Engel versus the City of Colton was referred to the City's insuranca carrier. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Councilwoman Spragins said she felt the Council should acknowledge the efforts and hard work of <br />Mrs. E lma Maltsberger for her book entitled "The Story of Colton, California", as it was very <br />well done and certainly worthy o�f notation. <br />On motion of Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, Council <br />directed that a Resolution of Appreciation be sent to Mrs. E lma Maltsberger for her book entitled <br />"The Story of Colton, California". <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 8:38 p. m., on the request of Mayor Huntoon. <br />The City Council reconvened at 9:01 p. m., all members present. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated that the City Council had adjourned to Executive Session to discuss Meet <br />and Confer matters. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, on motion of Councilman <br />Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting <br />at 9:02 p. m. <br />Approved this day of , 1974. <br />Mayor <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />---- May 21, 1974 <br />HELEN A. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Delbert A. Shaw of the Foursquare Church of Colton. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present <br />were City Manager Huffaker, City Attorney Hutton, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />On motion of Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and unanimously passed, the <br />Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br />1.
