146 <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Staff's request to advertise for bids <br />for curbs at Hermosa Cemetery. Vote was unanimous . <br />Lease Agreement <br />Colton School District/Water Quality Control Plant Property <br />Mr. Young referred to his memorandum dated February 13, 1975, and the school district's request to change the <br />termination clause of the lease agreement from thirty (30) days to ininety (90) days. <br />After Council discussion, Councilman Gonzales moved that the termination clause be changed from 30 days to 90 <br />days as requested by the School District. Seconded by Councilman Hayes and passed, Councilman Rehrer voting <br />NO. <br />Tr_ <br />Regulations <br />Mr. Young read his memorandum dated February 13, 1975, regarding a request for a "No Parking Zone" along the <br />northwesterly side of Iowa Avenue, opposite the Yum Yum Restaurant. <br />Mr. Young said if Council concurs, a resolution amending Resolution No. 2119 should be adopted. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution No. 3499. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3499 - RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2119 PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ON THE SIXTH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1960, TO <br />INCLUDE ADDITIONAL NO PARKING AREAS. <br />Agreement <br />Dewey Pest Control <br />Mr. Young advised a request has been received from Dewey Pest Control to construct off-site improvements in the <br />front of their property at some future date. <br />Mr. Young stated if Council concurs, an agreement will be prepared between the City and Dewey Pest Control, <br />which would be the same type of agreement entered into with Canale Foods . <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins, to approve Staff's recommendation and prepare <br />Agreement for Mayor and City Clerk's signatures by and between the City and Dewey Pest Control. Vote was un- <br />animous . <br />CITY MANAGERS REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Administrative Policies <br />Meetings/Conferences <br />City Manager Huffaker read from his memorandum dated February 13, 19 75 , regarding a change in the method of <br />reimbursing officers and employees for expenses incurred while attending meetings and conferences on City busi- <br />ness. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve change in Administrative Policy regard- <br />ing Meetings and Conferences as requested by Staff. <br />Fire Protection <br />West Colton <br />City Manager Huffaker read his memorandums dated February 14, 19 75 , regarding the cost of providing fire pro- <br />tection service to the residents of the unincorporated area of West Colton (County Pocket), at a cost figure of <br />$ .997 per $100 assessed valuation. <br />After discussion between Council members and Staff, Councilman Hayes moved for approval of fire protection <br />service to the residents of West Colton at a cost figure of $ .997 per $100 assessed valuation, and to notify the <br />County of same. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and unanimously passed. <br />,Bids <br />Police Department <br />City Manager Huffaker requested permission to advertise for bids on eight police vehicles, which are budgeted <br />in the 1974-75 fiscal year budget. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Staff's request to advertise for bids on <br />eight police vehicles. Vote was unanimous . <br />Bids <br />Paramedic Equipment <br />Mr. Huffaker advised the bids received on the paramedic equipment were from Motorola Communication Electronics <br />Inc. , $8,287., and Biocom Inc. , $8,140.80, and Staff is recommending the bid be awarded to Motorola, as the <br />trainees are learning on Motorola equipment. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to award bid for paramedic equipment to <br />Motorola Communication Electronics Inc. Vote was unanimous . <br />Contracts <br />Burial Plots/Hermosa Cemetery <br />City Manager Huffaker advised that a contract has been prepared by the City Attorney to be used for installment <br />FEB � ,, i:`7 5 <br />
