CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 1476 <br />Leonard H. Brown <br />City Attorney Hutton introduced Ordinance No. 1476 for second reading, stating this concerned a zone change as <br />requested by Leonard H. Brown. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve Ordinance No. 1476, and waive further <br />reading. Vote was unanimous. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1476 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9649 AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR <br />CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Ordinance No. 1477 <br />Cooley Ranch Sites <br />City Attorney Hutton introduced Ordinance No. 1477 for second reading, stating this concerned zone changes on five <br />sites in the Cooley Ranch area, adding the X -classification. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Ordinance No. 1477, and waive further <br />reading. Vote was unanimous. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1477 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9649 AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR <br />CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Claim <br />Southern California Gas Company <br />City Attorney Hutton stated this Claim concerns a broken 3/4 inch gas service by a backhoe being operated by one <br />of the City's crewmen. Mr. Hutton recommended the Claim be rejected and referred to the insurance carrier. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, Council rejected the Claim of Southern California <br />Gas Company vs. the City of Colton, and referred it to the Insurance carrier. Vote was unanimous. <br />Claim <br />Thelma P. Konogeris <br />City Attorney Hutton stated this Claim concerns the alledged damage to a tree and fence on the property of Thelma <br />P. Kongeris by City crews. Mr. Hutton recommended the Claim be rejected and referred to our insurance carrier. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to reject Claim of Thelma P. Konogeris vs. the City of <br />Colton, and refer to the insurance carrier. Vote was unanimous. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />Personnel Matters <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 8:05 p. m., and reconvened at 9:14 p. m., all members present. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated the Council had adjourned to discuss personnel matters. <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Citizens Transit Advisory Council <br />Mayor Huntoon asked for Councils' approval for appointments to the Citizens Transit Advisory Council of Mrs. <br />Clara Green and Mrs. Esther Parkinson. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to ratify appointments of Mrs. Clara Green and Mrs. <br />Esther Parkinson to the Citizens Transit Advisory Council. Unanimous vote. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Veterans Park <br />Drug Addiction Program <br />Mr. Joseph Sanchez addressed the Council, requesting use of Veterans Park on Saturdays, from 2:00 p. m. to 4:30 <br />p. m., for a drug addiction program being carried on in Colton and throughout San Bernardino. <br />Mayor Huntoon suggested that Mr. Sanchez get together with Staff members and work something out that can be <br />formally presented to the Council. <br />Labor Relations <br />San Bernardino Public Employees Association <br />Mr. Richard Stearns, General Manager of the San Bernardino Public Employees Association, requested information <br />from the Council with regard to the employees salary adjustments and negotiations. <br />Mayor Huntoon advised Mr. Stearns that no decision has been reached and the matter is being continued. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Council members discussed the feasibility of holding the Study Session with the James Sullivan Mutual Water <br />Company on Monday, instead of Tuesday as previously set. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 9:21 p. m., to <br />meet for an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Monday, July 21, 1975, at 7:30 p. m., for the purpose of holding a joint <br />meeting with the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton, in the Council Chambers of City Hall; said joint <br />meeting to be followed by City Council Study Session with the James Sullivan Mutual Water Company.
