Mr. Earl Young, Director of Community Services, stated that on March 4, 19 75 , the Council passed Resolution
<br />No. 3500, declaring that weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks or upon private property, and rubbish, refuse,
<br />or dirt upon parkways, sidewalks or private property within the City of Colton to be a public nuisance and endanger-
<br />ing to public safety.
<br />Mr. Young continued the hearing this evening is for the purpose of allowing all property owners, having objections
<br />to the proposed removal of said weeds, rubbish, refuse, dirt and other material, to be heard and their objections
<br />and protests considered by the City Council.
<br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone had additional comments to make.
<br />On motion of Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and passed, the public hearing was terminated.
<br />On motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Gonzales and passed, Resolution No. 3514 was approved.

<br />ADTOURNMENT:
<br />There being no further business to come before the City Council at this time, on motion of Councilman Rehrer,
<br />seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 6:05 p.m.

<br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m. , in the
<br />Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding.
<br />Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer.

<br />American Revolution Bicentennial
<br />Councilman Rehrer presented a brick from the White House, removed during the 1950 White House renovation, to
<br />Colton High Student, Arthur Ramos, for his first place drawing of an Official Seal Logo for celebration of the
<br />Bicentennial in Colton.
<br />Councilman Rehrer awarded a small replica of the Liberty Bell to Student , Paula Olson, as second place prize in
<br />the logo contest.
