2t5
Ordinance No. 1483
Assistant City Attorney Edwards advised this ordinance pertains to regulating the sale of
personal property from non -licensed premises, such as a garage sale.
Mr. Edwards stated there are certain sections of this ordinance that he would like to re-
vise, and resubmit for Council's consideration at the next regular Council meeting, rather
than having first reading this evening.
Mr. Edwards advised the sections in particular are Section Two, Application and Permit, and
Section Five, Sign.
Discussion followed between Council members and Staff with regard to garage and yard sales,
and proposed Ordinance No. 1483.
Council consensus was that the changes to the proposed Ordinance for Section Two would be
that each person must obtain a permit to have a garage or yard sale, not to exceed a charge
of $3.00 for the permit; and Section Five that only one sign on the property advertising
the sale would be sufficient.
Mr. Edwards stated that he would make the proper revisions and have the Ordinance at the next
regular Council meeting for consideration.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
Garage Sales
Mr. Roy E.
