<br />Electric Utility Director Harold Preece explained to the Council members the type of equipment to be purchased

<br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Resolution No. 3547, and authorize Staff
<br />to readvertise for bids. Unanimous vote.

<br />Transfer for Funds - City Clerk
<br />City Manager Huffaker reported from his memorandum dated October 28, 1975, regarding a request for the transfer
<br />of funds in the City Clerk's budget, in the amount of $325, to supplement the Capital Improvements General Fund
<br />account for complete floor covering in the City Clerk's office.
<br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve Resolution No. 3548. Vote was unanimous.

<br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the
<br />Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding.
<br />Mayor Huntoon-led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer.

<br />Mayor Huntoon read a Proclamation honoring Southern California Teen Challenge Week, from November 9 through 16,

<br />Mayor Huntoon announced that the appointment to the Library Board will be made later during Executive Session.
<br />PUBLIC HEARINGS:
<br />Mayor Huntoon announced that this is the time and place fixed for the Public Hearing on all matters relating to
<br />Assessment District No. 1975-1, City of Colton.
<br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Mailing Notice of Public Hearing.
<br />Mr. Daniel Burnett, City Engineer and Project Manager for Neste, Brudin & Stone, Inc., summarised the previous
<br />actions taken by the City Council and adoption of the resolutions pertaining to the Assessment District. Mr.
<br />Burnett pointed out on a map the two areas involved in the assessment; Area A, which includes Terrace Avenue
<br />between Barton Road and De Berry Street, and Area. B, including Chumash, Cahuilla and Mojave Streets (Tract 7582).
<br />City Clerk Ramos stated the Council members have been given copies of the letters of protest received, one from
<br />Mr Ralph Engelstad, and one from W. H. Purdy, General Manager of the Temescal Water. Company.
<br />Mayor Huntoon asked if those who had filed written protests desired to speak.
<br />Mr. Edward Bangle, 651 Sonora Street, San Bernardino, California, stated he has an interest in a piece of property
<br />in this area, along with Mr. Engelstad, and although he agrees partially with the actions of the City Council, he
<br />would like to know why their property was not included in the assessment district, as it is a large parcel. of land.
<br />Mr. Bangle then pointed out the property on the map.
