318 Finance Department and the Mayor. Mayor Beltran stated there is a motion on the floor, made by Councilman Gonzales. Mayor Beltran asked Councilman Gonzales if the motion had been clarified to his satisfaction. Councilman Gonzales answered yes. Mayor Beltran asked Councilman Gonzales if his motion then stands as it was made. Councilman Gonzales answered yes. Mayor Beltran stated that Councilman Gonzales has moved that the memorandum as submitted to the City Council, with the changes as noted, be adopted. Mayor Beltran asked for a second to the motion. Mayor Beltran seconded the motion. Motion carried with Councilman Rehrer voting NO. Councilman Rehrer then asked for a Roll Call Vote: AYES: Mayor Beltran, Councilwoman Cisneros, and Councilman Gonzales NOES: Councilman Rehrer ABSENT: Councilman Hayes Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Gonzales to approve the City Council Budget with the $40,000 for Capital Improvements. City Manager Huffaker reported the figures Staff has been using ($40,000) for Capital Improvements are taken from Councilman Gonzales' memorandum dated March 30, 1976. Mr. Huffaker stated he had copies of the memorandum in case any Council member needed a copy even though these have been forwarded to them earlier. Mr. Huffaker continued that normally each expenditure would be itemized, however, this has not been done in this case and he would like Council to be aware that the $40,000 includes furniture. In reviewing the memorandum, Councilman Rehrer asked if the final figure of $35,000 should then be changed to $40,000. Councilman Gonzales stated the $40,000 also included refrigeration units to be placed on the roof of the Civic Center and the basement can then be used for records retention. JUN 22*W6
